Essay Writing Topics For the Coming YearThe essay writing topics for the upcoming year are always highly interesting. One of the main themes this year, however, is war. Writing on the subject can be tricky since it may seem quite easy to write about politics or human nature, but war is a much harder topic to cover without being biased.
Perhaps you will agree that this year's topics will not necessarily be closely related to the past year's theme, or even a topic from your own life. As an example, you might write on the topic of one of your own passions, or from the perspective of someone else who shares the same passion. However, in general, the following discussion on the topic of war and essay writing topics for the coming year will provide a point of view that you could only express if you were at war. One of the most basic concepts when writing an essay is the idea of 'balance'. The idea behind balance is that the writer should have a point of view which is evenly balanced with the viewpoints of all other characters. You can illustrate this concept by thinking about your favorite sports team and the reality of each position, i.e. If you have a popular viewpoint you probably use it often. Is there ever a time when the viewpoint is completely changed? If there is a change of viewpoint will the others change in turn? It is impossible to change your opinion about something which is absolutely true, so the best we can do is keep it balanced. Just as a sports team needs to balance its viewpoint, an essay writer must also balance the viewpoint. In war, the point of view of the author has never been clear. When the soldiers go out into the field to battle against the enemy, they only know what the army is telling them. No one in the camp has ever expressed any thought or idea that is different than what the army says. One of the most common ways people attempt to express their opinions about the war is to read other peoples' opinions, but this is not the same as understanding what you are actually reading. War is always a mystery, and when a writer attempts to explain it in words, they are dealing with the reader's imagination and interpretation of the ideas they are trying to convey. Finally, you must remember that you will always have one of two viewpoints: the writer's view or the reader's view. The writer's view should always be related to their objective, i.e. the idea for which they wrote the piece. The reader's view should be based on their perspective about the situation, and should not be a reflection of any given author's opinion.
